The Art of Newborn Photography in St. Louis: A Simple Styling Trick

If you’re worried about missing the newborn window for a studio session, fear not! We can still capture those sweet and snuggly moments even with babies older than 6 weeks. Let’s chat about the styling us used from the Studio Wardrobe for this session because I absolutely loved it.
I get it—white or neutrals might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but here’s why I swear by it as a styling choice:
- It’s timeless. While prints and trends come and go, a white henley or oatmeal sweater paired with soft jeans or khaki pants for dad will never go out of style.
- During certain times of the year, the weather outside can sometimes make things feel a bit dim. But that pop of white on mom or dad helps bounce around the natural light, brightening up the whole scene.
- Pops of color really pop! If you decide to accessorize with a cute headband or swaddle, the white backdrop helps that item shine even brighter.
